Monthly Archives: May 2010

Just returned from NOLA and the annual Saints & Sinners GLBT Literary Conference. Great panels, readings, networking and fun. And decadence! Got to see my friend Lee Lynch inducted into the S&S Hall of Fame;

 Stefani Deoul had an invited reading at a reader’s home in the Bywater section of New Orleans – wonderful house, great neighbors, fun night andamazing hospitality;

A torrential thunderstorm trapped us at Cafe Du Monde on Sunday morning – not a bad place to be, with plenty of delious chickory coffee, beignets and enough powdered sugar to keep us on a high all day. I do LOVE New Orleans.

On the radio tonight May 6 – Oh my, hope I can stay up that late….perhaps a whole hour with me is a little much!!!!

Readings with Fay Jacobs
Time:10:30PM Thursday, May 6th

Stefani Deoul’s The Carousel has gotten some great reviews at Just About and on

Anna Furtado in ” The story is laced with characters that are both quirky and likeable. The mystery surrounding the carousel lady will keep the reader turning page after page, as will the desire to know if the town will succeed. This story, with its surprising lesbian twist, adds to the totality of the mystery itself. In the end, The Carousel is one of those stories that lingers long after the last page is turned—a story of redemption and a journey to wholeness—and one not to be missed. This tale is sure to find a special place in the reader’s heart.”

Publishing from backstage!
Things are heating up! lit up after a generous and amazingly wonderful review by novelist and film maker Shamim Sharif. Features on Stefani & The Carousel appeared in, Sussex Weekly, and much more.
Great News! Just found out that my column “Going Bats” in Delaware Beach Life Magazine won first place in the 2009 DE Press Association Contest.
